Church by the Bay
Since the replanting of Moorlands in 2005, the vision has always been to be a church planting church as we are convinced of the need for more gospel churches throughout the Lancaster and Bay area
Church by the Bay is our first church plant, and meets in the neighbouring town of Morecambe. The new Church began with a team of people from Moorlands who live on the Morecambe side of the river, led by Gerry Straker, formerly our Assistant Pastor. The team are delighted with this opportunity to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to people in their town.
Church by the Bay began to meet in September 2010 as a Bible study group and had a year of prayer and training. They started formally in September 2011 as an independent church at the Galloway's Centre in the West End of Morecambe and they have welcomed in a number of new people.. They meet each week at 10:30am on Sundays at the Galloway's Centre.
Church by the Bay have their own website with up to date information about what they're about and what's coming up in the near future.
