James Glass

James is originally from Northern Ireland. He met and married Debbie while they were students in London and they have a daughter, Amy and a son, John. They work together running their own veterinary practice in Lancaster. As well as James’s leading of church services and occasional preaching, James and Debbie are both active in leading within the church’s Real Food small group bible teaching programme. James enjoys walking and relaxing with his family (along with Dash - their mad Golden Retriever) and can occasionally be found hoarse from cheering on the Irish rugby team.
Andy Goody
Andy is married to Jo and they have two sons, Daniel and Matthew. They moved to Lancaster from the Wirral to help with the work at Moorlands. Andy has previously attended the Cornhill Training Course in London, run by the Proclamation Trust. A qualified accountant, Andy currently works as Corporate Development Director of a large private company in the North West and is Treasurer of Moorlands Evangelical Church. Andy enjoys spending time with his family, especially in the Lake District, and is an avid fan of the England Cricket team.
Danny Rurlander
Danny is the Senior Pastor and heads up the staff team and
elders. Danny is married to Emma and they have four children, Esme, Chloe, Lachlan and Lucy. Danny and Emma both grew up in Kendal and love the Lancaster area. Danny trained at Moore Theological College in Sydney after which he served in a parish church in Merseyside for three years.
He also teaches doctrine subjects on the North West Ministry Training Course in Leyland.
Danny enjoys good coffee, running, child-friendly walks in the Lake District, and anything out doors
Simon Tomlinson
Simon and his family have been part of Moorlands since May 2007, when a job change gave them an ideal opportunity to move to the North West and help in supporting the establishment of the young church's new vision. Married to Coralie and with four children, Talitha, Isla, Rory and Lydia, they live on the edge of the Lune Valley and love the Lancaster area. Since joining Moorlands, Simon has led a Real Food Student Group and a Real Food Men's Group, and he and Coralie have had an active role in many of the activities of the church, particularly those related to children and young people.
Prior to moving to Lancaster, Simon worked in the City of London for almost twenty years, as a partner in a national firm of accountants, and then for an investment bank. He now finds himself working with a wide range of local businesses. To relax, Simon enjoys cycling and other outdoor pursuits, but more often than not, he finds his free time is spent mowing grass, strimming hedges, cutting logs, and painting gutters, with the occasional walk along the River Lune with the family and their dog!
