Youth: Year 10-13s
Real Food Nano is the name of our youth programme for Year 10-13s.
Sunday mornings
We reckon that this age group are able to learn from our Sunday Bible talks alongside the adults: we don’t want to treat our young people like children, and we want them to aim high. The Spring teaching programme can be seen below.
Sunday afternoons
We also provide their own group for them to meet, have fun and study the Bible together. We meet on Sunday afternoons at 5.00pm at Ripley Sixth Form Centre. We will be looking at the book of Mark together. Then we join the students for the Real Food talk at 6.00pm, and the evening meal at 6.30pm (cost £2). Real Food Nano finishes at 7.00pm.
As well as life-changing Bible teaching, these Sunday afternoons will be a good chance to build friendships, and have fun together. They will be tailored so that new people, with little or no background in Christianity can join us easily and feel really welcome.
Special Events
Every term we have a special event for our Year 10-13s to invite their friends. This term on Sunday 4th April, we will be holding a Film Event. A great opportunity to bring friends to enjoy pizza, a film on the big screen and then to have a think together about the big life questions that the film raises, and where we might find the answers…
Summer Camp
Camp for our Year 10-13s and their friends is called Maidwell. This year the camp runs from Saturday 24th July to Sunday 1st August 2010.
Maidwell offers a great holiday and at its heart is great Bible teaching about Jesus. Think Casterton for big people! Activities, Alton Towers, hot chocolate, time to chill...
This is a great thing for those thinking about Christianity, or those you would like to think about Christianity!
