This is a single session training event that introduces Christianity Explored for anyone who would be interested in helping to be involved in running the course in the future. We run this course as a church in many different contexts, from big events at Starbucks with multiple groups, to single small groups, to one to ones. Therefore there are often opportunities to be involved in helping to lead a course. Please come along if you think this an area you could serve in. For more information, please feel free to contact Gerry or Flick.

As part of the Real Food programme we encourage students to meet informally but regularly with an older Christian for Bible study, prayer and encouragement. If you are one of these older Christians and would like some training on leading a one to one, (not necessarily with a student) we would love you to come along to this training session. All are welcome.

On Saturday 23rd October the student guys at Moorlands will be going on a hike up Pen-y-Ghent, one of Yorkshire's famous three peaks. All male students are welcome to come along. 
We'll be meeting at 9.30am on the Saturday morning at the church building on Dumbarton Road for bacon butties (see directions) before bundling into cars and setting out. Don't forget to wear sensible clothing and footwear!

Then starting on the Sunday 10th October is Real Food, our small groups Bible study programme. We meet at 6pm at Ripley for a short topical talk, this term on 2 Ways To Live, have dinner together and then split off into our small groups where this year 1st and 2nd years are studying Romans and 3rd years are doing a Bible Overview! For more info about Real Food visit our Real Food for Students Section!

Then on the 7th November we're off to Arnside after church for our annual student outing. Come and explore the beautiful area of Arnside over fish and chips.

Finally, there's our Jazz Night on 13th November. Bring your friends for a chilled out evening of jazz music and a clear explanation of the gospel.

Real Food Micro is our youth group for Years 7-9 from all Lancaster Schools. There's tea and toast, brilliant activities and Real Food - some fun time looking at what the Bible says Christianity is all about. And there are some awesome socials too!

Real Food Micro happens at Ripley Sixth Form Centre (click here for directions).

We meet at 3.30pm for a 3.45pm start and finishes at 5pm.

It's on every week until the end of term (Wednesday 14th July) and begins again on Wednesday 8th September.

After the main meeting on this Sunday, we will be baptising some of those in our church family. Baptism in water is a symbol which identifies believers with the death and resurrection of Jesus, expresses their turning away from their rebellion against God and indicates their trust in the gospel.  If you are interested in getting baptised at this time, you are very welcome to discuss it with Danny Rurlander or one of the other elders.

James and Myriam Hely Hutchinson our Mission Partners at the Belgian Bible Institute will be joining us for a great weekend of teaching on Biblical Wisdom and fellowship for the whole church family. As well as getting some memorable, stimulating and challenging teaching from the Bible, this weekend is also a great opportunity to just enjoy spending some time together. If you have not yet signed up and plan to come, we would love you to do so by Sunday 30th May. Any questions, please speak to James and Debbie Glass. 

Join us for our Sunday morning guest service this Sunday, 16th May at 10.30am (tea and coffee served from 10am) at Ripley St Thomas Sixth Form Centre (click here for directions).

This service is part of our Passion for Life fortnight of events to help those in our church family reach those they know with the good news about Jesus. This guest service is particularly geared towards families and children of all ages who are perhaps new to church and Christianity, and want to find out a bit more about what Christians believe and hear the Bible clearly explained. We do welcome all to come along!  

In this service we will be continuing our recent Bible series in Luke's gospel, looking at Luke chapter 10 verses 25-37.

There will be lots of events and activities going on - big and small - for a variety of different people and ages to meet those in our church family and hear a bit about what they believe and why it matters to them. 

The fortnight will include two Sunday morning family services at Moorlands, particularly geared towards those in and around Lancaster wishing to come along and hear the Bible clearly explained.

Nativity From Scratch is a whirlwind afternoon of Christmas drama of children at Primary School (reception to year 6).

Join us at Moorlands as we create a theatrical presentation of the birth of Jesus from scratch as told in the Bible. Every child will have a part to play!

Parents drop your children off then return two hours later to enjoy the performance followed my mulled wine and mince pies!

The Mid-Year Conference (MYC) is Moorlands’ annual student conference. It is suitable for every student and provides a special, concentrated time away from it all to study a part of the Bible, or aspect of the Christian life in more depth.

As well as learning from God’s Word, MYC is also a great time to have fun and to get to know each other better. This year we are thinking about Ministry and how we as followers of Jesus can serve Jesus like Jesus.

This is for secondary school age for young people, but we are also, as a special concession, inviting those in year 6.

Casterton is run by a team of volunteer leaders,  from local churches.  Their desire is put on a fantastic holiday for 11-14 year olds and give them a brilliant opportunity to hear the message of Jesus clearly taught from the Bible.

There are 2 ways to come and help:
1. As a leader - you will be working alongside the children all week, doing activities with them and teaching them the Bible through Bible studies.
2. As an assistant leader - you will be helping with the running of camp/games and other practical jobs. Alongside this there is a great programme of teaching especially for you.
