Meet Katie
At Moorlands we believe that your time at University is a crucial time to grow as a Christian. We want to do all we can to help you make the most of this opportunity and to make sure you are spiritually fed, strengthened in faith, stretched, trained and equipped through God’s word for a life time of serving Jesus in Lancaster and beyond.
But we realise that it will take time for you to understand who we are as a church and what we do for Students. We would love you to come along to Moorlands for a few weeks when you start to see what it’s like to be part of our church family. You will also have the chance to meet some of our current regular students and chat to them about why they come to Moorlands.
Lancaster is a great city in which to be a student and we hope that finding a church will be top of your list of priorities as you settle in and look around. As a church in a University city we take our responsibility to students very seriously and we are thrilled to be able to provide a spiritual home for students from both Lancaster University and the University of Cumbria.
We have student lunches starting from Sunday 23rd September which are a great opportunity to get to know each other and our church a bit better. Student lunches continue right through October. Real Food, our small group Bible studies, starts back on Sunday 7th October at 6pm, but there will be a welcome for students who are around on 23rd September in the evening.
