Sundays

New content Pic 8

We believe that church ought to be the high point of the week for Christians.  We gather together as God's people to hear God speak to u s through his word, the Bible, to respond in praise and prayer, and to encourage each other to respond to God's word with changed lives.

Sunday mornings

Our main meeting, in which the whole church family gathers together, is at 10.30am each Sunday at the Sixth From Centre, Ripley St.Thomas C of E High School (see directions).   The central part of the meeting usually lasts for about 90 minutes, but coffee is available from 10am, and again at the end of the morning, so there is plenty of time to chat and get to know people.

During the Bible talk children attend their own Grub Groups or Real Food groups with age appropriate Bible teaching.   There is also a crèche.  See our Families section for more details.

Below are the details of our Sunday morning teaching programme.

Sunday evenings

Real Food is our small group Bible study programme for all the adults at Moorlands.

Sunday evening Real Food is specifically geared towards students and young adults. We start at 6.00pm, hear a short talk on an area of Christian living or Doctrine, eat together and then have small group Bible study and spend time in prayer.  We normally finish at around 8.15pm with a song and hot drinks. For more information, click here.

On the first Sunday evening of each month the rest of the church family joins Sunday Night Real Food for our Church Family Prayer Supper, which begins at 6.00pm.

We meet at the Sixth From Centre, Ripley St.Thomas C of E High School (see directions).

Teaching Programme

This year, the first and second year students will be studying the Gospel of Mark, while the third years and recent graduates study an overview of the entire Bible.
The Student Real Food Programme for the Spring Term can be seen below.

I have prayed for Moorlands over the years and yet was astounded by the great work God is doing there when I visited. Their meetings are clear, sharp and gospel focused. I was delighted to meet so many people of different cultures, ages and backgrounds meeting under God's Word, and to speak with others who were finding out about Jesus for the first time.
