SUNDAYS
We would love you to join us any Sunday.
We meet at 10am at Moorlands Church,
High Street, Lancaster, LA1 1LA
We meet every Sunday at 10am in our church building on High Street. All are welcome.
Arriving at Church
When you arrive at church, you will be greeted by one of our Welcome Team who will be wearing a welcome lanyard. They can show you where to go, and direct you to facilities such as the toilets, cloakroom and our buggy store, if needed. If you have children with you, they can also tell you about our Children’s Groups.
During the Meeting
The main part of our meeting is spent hearing the Bible together. We want adults, children and young people to hear the life-giving message of Jesus Christ. We also spend time together singing, praying, and responding to what we hear in the Bible.
After the Meeting
Following the meeting our time together continues over tea, coffee and refreshments. If you would like to speak or pray with someone about anything you heard, there is opportunity to do this in our ‘Afterwords’ area. There is also a children’s chill out zone in the hall, with toys and activities available for children to play together after the meeting.
Children
Children are very welcome at Moorlands and we have groups available for ages 0-11. Adults and children begin the first part of the meeting all together in our chapel building. There is then a short break for children to leave for their own groups during the Bible Talk.
We have a number of video link rooms available if you need to take children out at any point during the meeting to feed or to settle them. One of these rooms provides a discreet place to nurse babies. Our Welcome Team will be on hand to direct you to these.
We have a store area for prams, buggies and children’s bikes for families to use on Sundays. Baby changing facilities are also available in the unisex toilet down the stairs from the Welcome Building.
For more information about what’s on for children please visit our Families page.
Students
We love having students at Moorlands. Every Sunday we have many students from Lancaster University and the University of Cumbria join us. There’s plenty going on for students this term and a dedicated student programme throughout the year.
For more information please visit our Students page.
Accessibility
Our church building is fully wheelchair accessible as you come through the main entrance. We have an accessible lift which can be used to access the toilets and rooms on the lower level, and the hall on the upper level. There is space for wheelchairs at the front or rear of the chapel building where our main meeting takes place.
If you need any assistance during your time with us, please ask one of the Welcome team - they will be happy to help.
Prayer Tea
AS well as our weekly Sunday morning meetings, our monthly Prayer Tea is a time when our church family comes together to lift our gaze and pray for the work of God in Lancaster and further afield. We enjoy drinks and refreshments together. We also share communion at Prayer Tea.
Prayer Tea usually takes place the first Sunday of each month, 3-5pm.
