MID YEAR
CONFERENCE
Friday 13 - Sunday 15 February 2026
A weekend away for our students to dig deeper into the Bible, consider the purpose of their lives in light of the gospel, and enjoy spending time together in the beautiful Lake District.
What is Mid-Year Conference?
MYC is an opportunity to dig deeper into a single, big biblical theme, through stretching and challenging teaching in talks and seminars. We get to understand the whole Bible, the theme of the conference and the purpose of our lives in the light of the central message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Watch the video below from last year’s MYC to get a taste for what MYC is like!
What’s this year’s topic all about?
“For who has known the mind of the Lord that he might instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16).
The gospel of Jesus gives us a radically different way of seeing the world: one shaped by the foolishness of the cross, where Christians are outsiders in a world that rejects Christ, and where God’s wisdom overturns human pride and power. At this year’s MYC, we will explore how growing in the mind of Christ transforms our thinking about the world, ourselves and pretty much everything else as we learn to see all of life through the radical lens of the gospel of Jesus.
Seminars & Activities
There will be seminars dealing with practical issues which will help us to apply the word of God to our lives, along with plenty of time for questions and discussion. There will also be time out to re-charge and digest what we are learning and to have some fun together in this great location, including a walk up Todd Cragg and Saturday evening fun!
Where are we staying?
We’ll be staying at Brathay Hall on the northern shore of Lake Windermere. There will be separate accommodation for male and female students. All of the rooms are dormitories which range from two to six beds in each, and mostly consist of bunk beds. All bedding will be provided but feel free to bring your own pillow if you like!
How much does it cost?
The price covers food, printing and accommodation costs. We try to keep the costs as low as possible but if you have any money concerns please speak to Joe Standerwick or Lydia Stones. We don’t want the cost to stop you from coming!
